Democratized Bargaining
Approximately six class hours offered in a one-day session or multiple workshops. Democratized Bargaining will cover:
- Organizing for Power
- Contract Action Campaigns
- Power Analysis
- Bargaining Councils
- Expanded and Open Bargaining
- Member Communications
- Bargaining for the Common Good
Specialized Topics
This is a series of elective workshops (approximately three hours each) to explore issues in depth. Certificate candidates must take at least four such workshops, including but not limited to:
- Educator Compensation
- Contract Costing and Economic Indicators
- Contract Language Lab
- School and Municipal Finances
- Advanced Bargaining Theory and Strategy
- Economics of Higher Education Bargaining
- Municipal Health Insurance
- Education Support Professionals' Issues
- Bargaining for the Common Good
- Impact Bargaining
All of the Bargaining Certificate Program workshops will be interactive and provide opportunities for members to share their knowledge and experience with one another.
