"We need parents alongside us in the fight for critical funding for our schools. As educators, we can speak to the day-to-day realities in our schools and the harmful effects of budget cuts, but we need parents who have ‘skin in the game’ to get our message out to the broader community. Parents are powerful allies, not only because they have children in our schools, but they will be directly affected by increased property taxes that result from a winning override. This is a simple connection, but too often overlooked. Educators and parents working together are a powerful alliance, and we need each other to succeed."
