The MTA Has a New Logo!
The MTA has introduced an updated logo with a new tagline that more accurately reflects the diversity of our membership and our vibrant history as a union of educators. The logo was last updated in 2013. The new design features the tagline "A diverse union of education workers." It began rolling out in January.

Student Rights
It’s crucial to remember that all students have a constitutionally protected right to a public education, regardless of their legal status. Educators play a vital role in fostering inclusive environments and advocating for policies that protect our immigrant families.

Dignified Retirement
An in-depth discussion of state and federal legislation concerning educator retirement will be the focus of the March 5 session of the First Wednesday Retired Speaker Series. Panelists will discuss efforts to approve an increase in the COLA for retired members and passing RetirementPlus legislation, which would allow teachers who previously did not elect to participate in the program to do so.
